"Ashley, Thank you so much for such an amazing, fun, and enlightening experience yesterday!  I have been looking forward to the shoot for a while now....and now that its over, I can't stop talking about it!! Sarah did such an amazing job on my hair and make-up yesterday.  I told her that I wanted to be dramatic and the opposite of my usual self (plain jane), and she captured that beautifully!  When I first walked in the studio, I was nervous, thinking whether or not I could open myself up to the process...and I did, and you made that so easy.

Its a really long story....but, I have been sober almost 5 years, and sometimes I live my life day to day, and think how grateful I am to be alive, and to have the life I have today.  When I looked at that picture that you took of me last, my heart filled with gratitude because 5 years ago, you would have seen no soul, and only an empty black hole.  To have captured that soul seeking picture yesterday, was probably my favorite, just b/c I used to be hollow and empty.

You may remember this beautiful bombshell from a few of our past recent posts. Her boudoir session was SO fun, yet so simple. She's been a country girl, a retro swimsuit pinup and today she's cookin' up something delicious in our downtown Nashville studio with her adorable bing cherry apron and red high heels. We just loved her playful expressions and think this is a perfect example of how every day items can be sexy and add a unique touch to your boudoir session. And by the way, if you're not familiar with the song "Shoo Fly Pie & Apple Pan Dowdy," you're missing out terribly. Go listen!

Mother's Day may be this weekend, but we're celebrating the moms in our lives all through May with our "momshell" special! We know what it's like to be a hard-working woman. Where do bikinis come from?

If you're browsing around here, you should know where babies come from. (And if you don't...sorry...we won't be talking about that today!) Well, in celebration of Summer getting closer and closer, that means bikini weather is almost here! So today we're going to be talking about the origin of the bikini. After a bit of researching, I stumbled upon a Wikipedia article about Micheline Bernadini. In 1946, she was hired as a model to showcase the newest summer staple in beachwear...the bikini. Nashville pinup photography – “Get along little dogies” edition, post 2 of 3

Did you catch this bombshell last week? She looked absolutely stunning with her black retro swimsuit and gorgeously detailed high heel platforms. Today she is back again, only she's country style! No, she didn't sing us any country songs throughout this shoot, but she's certainly breaking some hearts with those short shorts and cowgirl boots! We just had a blast working with this Nashville gal and hope you enjoy her photos! One more wardrobe change left...who will she be next? 🙂

Nashville boudoir photo tip: Show us your left cheek! :)

Okay, so today we're having a bit of play on words. We're not talking about THAT left cheek. We're talking about the lovely left side of your face. Did you know there's scientific reasoning behind leading with your left cheek when it comes to taking better photos? According to the journal Experimental Brain Research, 37 people who participated in a study found that photos capturing the left side of faces were significantly more appealing. In honor of this study, we're featuring some of our bombshells who have led with the left! Happy Friday, friends! See you next week! 🙂
